Tips for buying off-plan -;

Step 1 – Choose the right development in the right location.

Step 2 – Sell your current property (if applicable).

Step 3 – Seek mortgage advise and obtain an ‘offer in principle’.

Step 4 – Reserve your plot and pay a reservation fee ranging from £500 – £2000.

Step 5 – Choose bespoke fixtures and fittings.

Step 6 – Instruct a Solicitor and begin the conveyancing process.

Step 7 – Arrange a surveyor’s valuation – your mortgage lender will require a survey before an official offer is made.

Step 8 – Ensure all mortgage paperwork is complete.

Step 9 – Complete an initial snagging list – this is usually carried 2 weeks before completion.

Step 10 – The developer will inform you of a finishing date and you can begin planning your move.

Step 11 – Move into your Forever Home and live happily-ever-after.
